Carpentier Pulling Double Duty at Dover International Speedway in Hellmann's Dodge

STATESVILLE, N.C. --Patrick Carpentier expects a busy weekend at Dover International Speedway as he prepares for double duty in both the NASCAR Sprint Cup and the Nationwide Series. This will be Carpentier's first career Nationwide start on the concrete high banks of the "Monster Mile."

Carpentier's Nationwide performances have been impressive in 2009. In just seven starts, he has earned two top-fives and four top-10 finishes with an average finish of 13.7. Mike Shiplett, Carpentier's Sprint Cup crew chief, will serve in the same position on the No. 9 Hellmann's Dodge for Gillett Evernham Motorsports on Saturday.

Gillett Evernham Motorsports announced they have added Wally Rogers as car chief of the No. 9 Hellmann's Dodge. Rogers will be starting his duties this weekend at Dover.

PATRICK CARPENTIER:

"I'm thrilled to be back in the Nationwide Series this weekend at Dover. The more seat time I'm able to get the more I'm able to learn and that really goes a long way in our team's performance.

"The Hellmann's crew has done a great job all year and I only have a couple races left this year in the Nationwide Series, so we want to take full advantage of these opportunities. The guys back at the shop and here at the track put in a lot of hard work making our Dodges competitive. They've had some bad luck the past few races so we're hoping to get a solid a run at Dover and hopefully avoid getting bit by the Monster."

Chassis: Carpentier will drive chassis No. B11 at Dover. It last raced at Bristol where it qualified fourth and finished 21st with Elliott Sadler behind the wheel.

Carpentier's Season: In seven starts, has led one lap, earned two top-fives and four top-10 finishes. He has three top-five and five top-10 starts plus Raybestos Rookie of the Race honors in six races. The No. 9 team is 15th in owner points.
