LAKEVILLE, Conn. -- Matt Kobyluck of Uncasville, Conn. captured his third Busch Pole Award of the NASCAR Grand National Division, Busch North Series season on Friday to earn the honor of leading the field to the flag in Saturday's Burnham Hydronics 200 presented by Mohegan Sun at Lime Rock Park's 1.53 mile road course. His speed was a non-record 101.519 miles per hour.
Ryan Moore, with whom Kobyluck is tied for the Busch Pole lead, will start outside the front row. Moore trails three-time defending champion Andy Santerre by 58 points entering the next-to-last race of the season. Santerre qualified seventh. Mike Olsen and Brian Hoar fill the second row. Two-time Lime Rock winner Dale Quarterley, making a rare Busch North Series appearance in 2005, starts ninth.
