Will moves up in POWERade points
COMMERCE, Ga. (April 29, 2007) -- A red light start for Hillary Will and her KB Racing LLC-owned, Kalitta Motorsports-managed dragster against Doug Herbert ended her quest for the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals Top Fuel title in the second round.
After defeating J.R. Todd in the opening round with a stout run of 4.588 seconds, Will's dragster moved 53 hundredth of a second too soon against Herbert. Herbert did lose traction on the run but Will had already shut her car down after some tire chatter.
Will moved up two spots in the POWERade Top Fuel point standings and now is in the 11th position, only 62 behind eighth. She has 232 points. The second year Top Fuel driver now moves on to the next race in St. Louis next weekend.
NEXT RACE: The NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series now moves straight to the St. Louis area for the 11th annual NHRA O'Reilly Midwest Nationals next weekend at Gateway International Raceway, May 4-6.
