Line exits early at ACDelco Gatornationals
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (March 19, 2006) -- Running a career best elapsed time of 6.648 seconds during qualifying, Jason Line fell victim to a holeshot win by Erica Enders in the opening round of the 37th annual NHRA ACDelco Gatornationals.
Driving the KB Racing LLC, Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac GTO, Line covered the Gainesville Raceway in 6.674 seconds at 205.90 mph. Enders' gained a .052 second advantage at the green and recorded a pass of 6.716 seconds at 205.18 mph.
"This class is too close to give away anything," said Line. "It was a difficult loss. I will continue to work on driving techniques and be ready when we get to Houston."
Line and his KB Racing LLC-owned, Summit Racing Equipment Pro Stock Pontiac GTO now head to the Houston area and the next race on the NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series -- the O'Reilly Auto Parts Spring Nationals -- which is scheduled for March 31-April 2 at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas.
