John Force has won 14 Funny Car titles as a driver and has a total of 15 Funny Car titles as an owner. One of his drivers, Robert Hight, has finished as a runner-up each of the last two seasons.

ROBERT HIGHT IS SECOND HEADING TO THE FINAL RACE HAVING PULLED HIMSELF BACK INTO THE CHAMPIONSHIP WITH A STRONG WEEKEND AT LAS VEGAS. "We all had a real good weekend [at Las Vegas]. We all moved up in the points, Ashley, and myself, but Robert has come within a couple of points of the championship. Less than two rounds, which means he can make it up in qualifying at Pomona. That is a race he has dominated at Winternationals and winning the last two World Finals there. His car runs well in the night air. We are excited about it. Robert did his stuff this weekend, Cruz [Pedregon] beat us, but Pomona is the championship. I think we are going to get it because our cars are getting back that consistency that we had lost."

DOES THE WEEK OFF BETWEEN EVENTS HELP OR HURT? "Robert and I will be back here next weekend because Brittany [daughter] and Courtney [daughter] will be running the A Fuel dragster here at the Divisional, plus we have the SEMA convention all week, so we are going to be out of race mode. That is the way we like it. You want to come right out of an event and head to the next one and try to win that. Robert, Ashley and I will get ready for Pomona. We have good hot rods. We qualified [at Vegas] one, two and three and seven so our cars are starting to talk to us."
