Thomas Pivoda faced an extremely tough challenge at Brands Hatch. The Czech driver entered the fifth round of the International Formula Master on the famed Brands Hatch circuit. Tomas, running as the youngest driver in the series, had to face a steep learning curve since the first day, as practice was disputed on the shorter Indy layout instead of the Grand Prix one, used for the two races.
On a virtually unknown track, he encountered troubles during qualifying but bounced back on the two races, constantly improving his laptimes and coming to the checkered flag in both occasions (with an 12th place on Race 1). The next round of the series is set to take place at Oschersleben at the end of August.
Tomas Pivoda
"It has been tough, because the one we tested in
qualifying was not the track we were supposed to use for the races, and
I encountered some troubles during qualifying. In the two races I kept
improving and, after the positive weekend we had at Estoril, I really
look forward to Oschersleben."
