Farewell to Spain, series around Europe
The Open Telefonica will visit after Albacete circuits in France, England and Italy. Magny Cours, Donington Park and Monza will surely decide the series 2000 champion, because there will be only one Meeting left in Spain: the last one at Valencia. Albacete will be a decisive step to know the driver whose name will be added to those of F1 driver in Minardi Marc Gené (1998 champion) and F3000 FIA driver with Astromega Fernando Alonso (champion in 1999).
Qualifiers will take place on Saturday and races will start on Sunday at 12.05 h. and 14.05 h. local time. Spaniard Antonio Garcia (Adrian Campos Motorsport) is the current series leader (99 points) ahead of Portuguese Rui Aguas (Venturini Racing, 72) and Frenchman Patrice Gay (61).
