RAIN!!!!! It's a cold morning, wet and dreary. I'm still at the Dinner Bell, a great little hole-in-the-wall restaurant across the street from a fast food place and next door to the Mid-Ohio Motel, awaiting pork chops and eggs. A real breakfast... what a concept.

Yesterday Richard Crites asked his wife Diana to perform an Indian rain dance--he loves racing in the wet. Well, her steps worked their magic this morning. However, he doesn't qualify until 5:45 PM; let's see if the magic lasts. John Hollansworth said he's normally a better racer in the wet than the dry. He's not so sure about at Mid-Ohio though, since a lot of the local guys are wet-weather players too, and on a technical track like this, it may just magnify their home track advantage.

In case you haven't noticed, I missed getting out to a corner this morning. T1 qualifying is already done, and AS is underway, and I'm still in a restaurant. I'll hang out in the press room and in the field today, despite my earlier plans to flag.
