Vildosola Racing goes for it all.
Gus & Tavo are ready for the show at the Baja 250 this weekend.
Mexicali, Baja California (February 22, 2007) The father and son team of Gus & Tavo Vildosola are looking forward to add another chapter to the team's history books when they take on the SCORE Baja 250 on March 10th. This will be the first SCORE event that the father-son duo will share driving duties in the red and white Vildosola Racing/Mexicana Logistics Ford F-150. This race is the second event of the 2007 season calendar for the SCORE series.
The team has been diligently preparing for the upcoming race; the Trophy Truck has been completely disembled and tested during the winter off- season. Tavo commented, "The truck is ready, Dave, Javy and the whole shop, have done an excellent job of working together to try and solve the problems we have had in the past with the #4 Trophy Truck, I have put several hundred miles on it testing. This has been both to improve the truck and give me valuable seat time, I am confident that with my dad's leadership and guidance along with the supporting cast that Vildosola Racing counts on including all shop members, crew, family and fans we will not only have a successful race but a successful season in 2007".
This will be the biggest field ever for a SCORE race in the Trophy Truck class, so the racing promises to be competitive and intense. " The course is a fine balance between endurance and an all out sprint, its different than any other race we run because the terrain is so demanding. This year the race has a different course due the last minute change; the race strategy and preparation will play a key role. I have the utmost confidence that Dave Clark, Javi "Showtime" Valenzuela, Tavo, myself and the rest of the crew we have the right combination to win in Ensenada", Gus stated.
The red and white Vildosola Racing/Mexicana Logistics Ford-150 Trophy Truck, will be starting 7th off the line on Saturday March 10th at the end of Ave Ruiz on the outskirts of Ensenada. The course will be 215 miles long, one by one the 350 plus expected entries will be stating at 30-second intervals, the Vildosola Racing Trophy Truck is expected to take the checkered flag roughly 4 hours and be done.
