O'Reilly ASCoT National Schedule Released
TULSA, Okla. (January 15, 2007) -- With the American Sprint Car Series set to kick off its 16th year of racing action in just over a week at Tampa's East Bay Raceway Park, the O'Reilly American Sprint Cars on Tour National schedule has been released.
The series fires off at East Bay Raceway Park's 31st Winter Nationals with the Ninth Annual "King of the 360's Nationals" next Thursday through Saturday, January 25-27. The winner of Saturday night's Ronald Laney Memorial will pocket $10,000.
The series will go full-circle in 2007, with East Bay Raceway hosting the series season finale on November 9-10.
The driver that walks away with the series $50,000 championship share will have his work cut out for him, as the series current slate of events consists of 48 nights of racing at 25 different tracks throughout 18 different states.
Some of Sprint Car racing's premier events are included in the schedule as well. In addition to the season opener at East Bay, other major events include Virginia Motor Speedway's $6,000-to-win East Coast Nationals on May 25-26, the $10,000-to-win ASCS Knoxville Nationals on August 2-4 and I-30 Speedway's 20th Annual Short Track Nationals on October 25-27, an event that features a whopping $20,000 winner's share.
After the season opener, the next stop is the 34th Annual Devil's Bowl Speedway Spring Nationals near Dallas, TX, on March 16-17, with Oklahoma City's State Fair Speedway Spring Nationals a week later.
A highlight of the 2007 season is 15th Annual COMP Cams ASCS Sizzlin' Summer Speedway, which consists of seven nights of racing at seven different tracks from July 13 to July 21.
