Scites focused for another victory in 2003
Mooresville, NC (Friday, May 23,2003) - ASA Rookie Davin Scites is more focused than ever to keep up the hard work he has been giving on the racetrack. Scites is determined to land in Victory lane again in the 2003 season, and is ready to make it happen on the .50 mile track for the upcoming IOWA 300.
"We had a tough run last week in Toledo, and I'm determined to keep up the hard work and focus on another Victory this year", stated Scites
"I took a hard hit in Toledo last weekend, but we have to keep going!" We have worked hard to have a car ready for the IOWA 300 and I'm going to give it all I have to make up for the problem I got caught in last weekend", said Scites
Scites is a contender for the "Rookie of the Year" award and is heading straight to the top in points. With the great runs that Davin and his #06 John Michael Montgomery Chevy have been having there is no doubt that Scites will not receive the award given at the end of the year.
"We are working so hard to win the Rookie of the year, my crew has work overtime to make sure I have a good car for each event, and I work on the car about 90% of the time myself so needless to say the car is always being worked on", Davin said.
In addition to racing, Davin and County Music superstar John Michael Montgomery will be attending "Fan Fair" in Nashville TN June 4th - 8th with Scites's ASA #06 Chevrolet Monte Carlo on display for the largest Country Music event for fans in the Country Music Industry.
The sixth race of the 2003 American Speed Association season heads to Hawkeye Downs Speedway this Saturday May 24th, 2003. The IOWA 300 is set to get underway live on the SPEED channel beginning at 9:00pm EST.
