HOFFMAN RACING TO RUN THE LITTLE 500

8 TIME USAC NATIONAL CHAMPIONS TO COMPETE IN THE HISTORIC RACE FOR THE FIRST TIME

Loveland Ohio, (May 24, 2005)- Defending and 8 time USAC National Sprint Car Champions, Hoffman Auto Racing, will compete in the 57th Payless Remy International Little 500 on May 28, 2005. The Kroger/Tide/Bounty/Pringles/Mopar Stanton Beast will be driven by NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series regular Tracy Hines.

"We have wanted to run this race for a number of years. Last year we attended the race, tried to learn all we could, and decided we would take on this tremendous challenge in 2005. Tracy (Hines) wanted to run the race, and was available , so we have been planning for the race since last fall. Rob (Hoffman) built a mock up of a Little 500 car, but we decided to run our Beast. Kroger is a primary sponsor of the race, so we want to represent them well. Pit stops will be a challenge for our Team, but we feel that we have built the equipment and have the personnel to pull of some quick stops", said Richard Hoffman, President of Hoffman Auto Racing.

It is a very busy week for HAR. A USAC Sprint race in scheduled May 25th at Anderson, the Little 500 is May 28th, and a USAC Sprint Car race is scheduled for Eldora on May 29. The Team will run 2 cars at Eldora, with Tracy Hines and Jerry Coons Jr. driving the F5's.
