PLANO, TX (December 6) - The World of Outlaws Support Series will offer substantial payoffs in its inaugural season, World of Outlaws President Ted Johnson announced Monday. A point fund of at least $152,000, including $50,000 for the championship team, will be paid to the series' top 12 teams. Only World of Outlaws member teams will receive point fund rewards. Membership in the support series also entitles a team to race with the Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series. The same rules and car specifications will apply to both sprint car racing series. The single-program event purse of $28,840 features a $5,000 winner's share. The top traveling teams will also receive tow money. The six-month schedule will last from mid-April to early October and include a minimum of six Pennzoil World of Outlaws Series televised events on TNN Motorsports. The series will release a complete schedule soon. Surf into World of Outlaws Online (http://www.goracing.com/outlaws) for more information concerning the World of Outlaws Support Series. WoO
