Andrej Jereb/Mian Kacin finish Acropolis Rally in eleventh place
The OMV BIXXOL Rally Team with Andrej Jereb and Miran Kacin moved up three places as compared to their premiere in Greece one year ago. They also only lost half as much time on the winner. That the aspired WRC-points couldn't be reached was mainly due to a tyre puncture on the second day. But the Slovenian OMV driver wants to put the gathered experience of the fifth WRC- run of his career and the second one on gravel to good use already in New Zealand in early September.
Confidently looking into the future
Andrej Jereb (Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX) has also crossed the finish line at his second assignment at the Rally Acropolis. And this not only three places up compared to last year but also with a lot less time-distance on the lead. A giant leap forward for the 33-year-old OMV driver. Jereb: "We have seen that we do have the potential to score points. One also needs some luck at a WRC-rally, of course. We didn't have it this time around but I'm certainly not giving up hope. Already in early September in New Zealand we will once again try our all to score points. Until then we also have time to solve some minor problems at the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX. I am looking forward to my next assignment with the OMV BIXXOL Rally Team and Stohl-Racing."
