A1 Grand Prix Series at the Paul Ricard HTTT For three days of intensive testing
After Formula 1, GP2 Series and other Prototype testing, it is now time for the brand new A1 Grand Prix Series, created by President and Chairman, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum, to discover the Paul Ricard HTTT for the very first time.
The first official test session of the new series took place in Silverstone at the beginning of August with 15 teams. Before the start of the series, the A1 Grand Prix organisation decided to supply the teams with the discovery of the one and only test circuit in the world: the Paul Ricard High Tech Test Track.
Twenty teams, representing each one country (Malaysia, Indonesia, Russia, Mexico, Switzerland, France, South Africa, USA, China, India, Brazil, New Zealand, Germany, Pakistan, Portugal, Ireland, Lebanon, UK, Australia, Holland) validated their entries to this session which will use the 2Dsc track solution (4,157km) on August 24th, 25th and 26th.
The Paul Ricard HTTT, supplying now some 180 different track solutions is definitely the ideal place to be for the launch of a new discipline, which will start officially on the English track in Brands Hatch, next September 25th.
Philippe Gurdjian, Paul Ricard HTTT President & CEO is truly happy about this choice: "I am very pleased to welcome the A1 Grand Prix series at the prestigious and highly secured Paul Ricard HTTT. Once again, the organisation of a new series has chosen our Test Track to validate their cars before the launch of the series. It is a true success for the Paul Ricard HTTT and I really wish the best to all the participants of this new and original motor sport discipline, be it the drivers, the team managers and the organisations." After Formula 1, GP2 Series and other Prototype testing, it is now time for the brand new A1 Grand Prix Series, created by President and Chairman, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Maktoum Al Maktoum, to discover the Paul Ricard HTTT for the very first time.
