THE CREATION HAS LANDED: AUTOCON TAKES POSSESSION
Autocon Motorsports has taken delivery of its Creation-Judd prototype and is preparing it for its first test and shakedown Monday at Miller Motorsports Park. The car was picked up Wednesday in Los Angeles and taken back to the team's shop near San Diego.
Not surprisingly, the Autocon bunch was giddy and thrilled at the sight of their new toy. There wasn't much time to savor it though as the departure for Salt Lake City loomed.
"The truck is already loaded and ready to roll," said Michael Kramer, team VP of business development. "Definitely no later than bright and early tomorrow morning."
The car will compete at Miller in the white paint scheme highlighted by decals from Cyclo, one of the team's sponsors. It will make its debut in full Jean Richard livery at Lime Rock Park in early July.
The next round of the American Le Mans Series is the Utah Grand Prix, set for 5:05 p.m. MT on Saturday, May 19 from Miller Motorsports Park near Salt Lake City. CBS Sports will air the race at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, May 20. MotorsTV in Europe, SPEED Latin America and 7TV in Russia also will provide international coverage. American Le Mans Radio and IMSA's Live Timing and Scoring will be available at americanlemans.com.
