Donington Audi qualifying

Audi made clear their intentions by taking the first three places on the grid for the ELMS race at Donnington Park. The team, who topped the times in free practice and testing, initially stayed in the pitlane as all the other teams took to the track. But after 15 minutes the two silver cars pulled onto the track and to the top of the timing screens, with Kristensen setting the fastest time.

Just before the end of the session Stefan Johansson ran wide at the first corner, Redgate, and drove helplessly into the tyre barrier, causing significant damage to the left-front of the car. Johansson was just 0.1 seconds off his fastest time at that point.

Chrysler let the race for best of the rest. with Dalmas/Beretta in fourth, and Courage fifth with Bouillon/Redon. Conditions were hot and sunny.

The race will take place at 1210BST (1110GMT) on Saturday 14th April.
