Who Will Deliver Milestone ALMS Victory for Michelin?
LONG BEACH, CALIF. (April 16, 2008) - If "nothing succeeds like success," and "success breeds success" then Michelin's prospects look promising at the upcoming 2008 Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Taking the overall wins in 87 of the 90 American Le Mans Series (ALMS) races held to date, and racking up 249 class victories in just 295 class starts, Michelin and its technical partners have dominated ALMS competition since the inception of the series in 1999.
TOP ALMS TEAMS CHOOSE MICHELIN
Michelin is the tire provider of choice for many of the top ALMS teams
including the LMP1 factory Audi R10s; the LMP2 Acura ARX-01b of Andretti
Green Racing, Lowe's Fernandez Racing and Patron Highcroft Racing; and the
Porsche RS Spyders from Dyson Racing and Penske Racing; the GT1 class
Corvette C6.Rs of Corvette Racing; and the GT2 class Ferrari 430GTs from
Risi Competizione and Tafel Racing; and Porsche 911 GTS RSRs from Flying
Lizard Motorsports and Farnbacher-Loles Racing. All told, 18 of the 29 ALMS
entries are expected to be fitted with Michelin
