$100,000 Mid-Season Points Fund Payout for EA SPORTS Supercross

AURORA, Ill. (February 28, 2001) - Clear Channel Entertainment's motor sports division announces their $100,000 Mid-Season Points Fund for the top 20 finishing 250cc riders after Round 8 in EA SPORTS Supercross.

       2.      Ricky Carmichael, Havana, Fla., Honda, 159 pts, $11,500

       3.      Mike LaRocco, South Bend, Ind., Honda, 120, pts $10,000

       4.      Stephane Roncada, Menifee, Calif., Kawasaki, 117 pts, $8,500

       5.      Ezra Lusk, Acworth Ga., Kawasaki, 112 pts, $7,000

       6.      Jeremy McGrath, Encinitas, Calif., Yamaha, 110 pts, $5,000

       7.      Travis Pastrana, Annapolis, Md., Suzuki, 96 pts, $4,750

       8.      Nathan Ramsey, Corona, Calif., Honda, 87 pts, $4,500

According to Todd Jendro, director of supercross, Clear Channel Entertainment - Motor Sports, "This $100,000 is part of the more than $2 million that Clear Channel Entertainment will pay to the riders in this year's EA SPORTS Supercross program at the season-ending supercross banquet. This Mid-Season Points Fund creates an incentive for riders to excel at the halfway point of the year."
