100th Event at Anderson Speedway to Open Season
TOLEDO OH (11-22-06) -- With a full head of steam, and a title sponsor signed through 2009, the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series, headed toward its ninth consecutive season of competition, has released its 2007 schedule with 12 championship events across five states and Canada.
The ALWTS season opens at Anderson Speedway (IN) on April 21 with the series' milestone 100th event and stretches through to its season finale at Toledo Speedway (OH) on October 13.
"We've worked hard to define what the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series is and where we see it going," said ARCA Vice President of Competition Joe Wells. "Working with our teams, sponsors, track operators, chassis and engine builders and tour officials to develop our plan, we feel good about the 2007 season and beyond."
Season highlights include five companion events with the nationally touring ARCA RE/MAX Series at Salem Speedway (IN), Toledo (twice), Kentucky Speedway and Winchester Speedway (IN).
Holding true to its diverse nature, the traveling truck tour also mixes in some dirt track flavor with another appearance at the Illinois State Fairgrounds mile-dirt in Springfield during the 152nd annual Illinois State Fair. The race will precede the next-day annual ARCA RE/MAX Series Allen Crowe 100.
The ALWTS also heads north of the border for a pair of events in Canada at Delaware Speedway in Delaware, Ontario and Sauble Speedway in Sauble Beach, Ontario.
In addition, events at Kil-Kare Raceway (OH) and Flat Rock Speedway (MI) will add yet more quality to the 2007 ALWTS schedule.
