Mario Gosselin won the pole for Wednesday night's running of the ARCA EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 100 at Lowe's Motor Speedway in Charlotte with a new track record of 181.354 mph surpassing the old mark set back in 1996 by Ron Barfield at 180.536 mph. Gosselin won the pole in his first ARCA start here at LMS back in May of this year, and won the race as well. Defending champion Frank Kimmel took a past champion provisional to make the show and will start in 41st position. A total of 54 teams took times today in qualifying.
