Pocono starting line up

LONG POND PA, In his first look at the 2.5-mile triangular Pocono superspeedway, 20-year-old rookie Stuart Kirby, in Bob Schacht's Athens Mobil Speed Park Ford, shattered the one-lap ARCA RE/MAX Series track record here Thursday at Pocono Raceway.

The Bowling Green, Kentucky driver won the Old Milwaukee Pole Award with a speed of 169.329 mph, earning his career-first pole in only his 5th ARCA RE/MAX Series start. Tim Steele held the old mark at 167.380 mph. Three-time RE/MAX Series winner David Keith, in the CLR Ford, qualified outside pole with a speed of 166.834.
