MIAMI (June 8, 2000) – Homestead-Miami Speedway has named Lorraine Leal to the position of Controller, Speedway President Curtis Gray announced today.
In her new position, Leal will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the Speedway.
“Lorraine is a great addition to our team,” said Gray. “She brings over 12 years of experience to our staff, and is highly motivated and a self-starter.“
Leal had been the Chief Financial Officer and General Operations Manager of ARCO Security Central Station Corp. and ARCO Electronics Inc. of Miami since 1992. In addition, she ran her own accounting firm.
A native of Homestead, Leal is a graduate of Miami Dade Community College and Florida International University. She received her masters of science in taxation from the University of Miami in 1988, and passed her Certified Public Accountant exam on her first try later that year. She also has been a Licensed Real Estate Agent since 1994.
Leal resides in the Redlands section of South Dade County.
