Álvaro Parente's only thought is to continue recovering at Silverstone
After accomplishing a third and fourth places at Oulton Park, Álvaro Parente, the Luis Figo Foundation Driver, focuses on continuing this stream of positive results during the ninth stage of the British F3 Championship, held next weekend (August 13/15th), at the Silverstone Circuit.
After the podium finish and a fourth place, Parente rose up to the sixth position of the Championship, finding himself at a five point distance from his Carlin Motorsport Team mate, Danilo Dirani and closer to the fourth qualified, Clivio Piccione, also from his Team.
Even though it is the second time this season that the British F3 competes at Silverstone, this time the Drivers will race at the larger track, identical to the one used by the F1, in which Parente has already tested.
"I really loved the track, but when we held the testing session last week, we realized that the car setup wasn't ideal. Therefore, during the Thursday practice session (August 12th) we will have to develop a good quality work in order to take the most out of the car on Friday's qualifying session, so that we may achieve a good starting grid position. It is obvious that my goals are to obtain more podium finishes, to see if I can keep recovering places on the Championship Standings, in this second half of the season", Explains Álvaro Parente.
British F3 Championship (after 16 races):
1º, Nelson A. Piquet, 184 points; 2º, Adam Carroll, 155; 3º, James Rossiter,
