BSB: MM Ducati Donington qualifying notes

Front Row for Emmett at Donington Park

MonsterMob Ducati Superbike rider Sean Emmett will start the final round of the Think! British Superbike Championship from second place on the grid after this afternoon's action packed second qualifying session at Donington Park.

The 34 year old Londoner set a time of 1m32.810s to start from his second consecutive front row as he looks to end the season on a high in the final two races.

"I just got balked on my final qualifying time.  But second place is
good and it's nice to finish the year on the front row.  I'm pretty
pleased with that.  I'm looking forward to good weather tomorrow and
some cracking races.  I'm really up for it" said Emmett.

Meanwhile Supersport rider Michael Laverty qualified in sixth position on the 749 Ducati and will start from row two of the grid in tomorrow's race, having held a front row position for much of the session.

"I was robbed of a front row start due to the weather. I just missed the dry track time but I'm happy enough as we've got a good race set up and I'm hoping for a good result tomorrow" said Laverty.

Team owner Paul Bird said the following:

"A front row start is fantastic. We've got a good set up and will be in the battle for the rostrum places tomorrow. Michael missed his last lap qualifier by just two seconds, but he's on the second row and he's won from there before."
