Edmonton rained out on Saturday

EDMONTON, Alb. - 2:30 p.m. - Rain continues at Budweiser Motorsports Park with no end predicted until late this evening, so there will be no racing today. Weather permitting, the Second annual IHRA Western RV Rocky Mountain Nationals presented by Northern Provincial Pipeline and Edson Chrysler will be completed Sunday, July 4.

Gates will open at 8:00 a.m. Sunday. All those categories that did not get two qualifying sessions on Friday will get a second session before beginning eliminations.

Sportsman qualifying for ET Box and No Box, Hot Rod, Super Rod, Quick Rod, Top Dragster, and Top Sportsman competitors will start at 8:30 a.m. Qualifying for Junior Dragster, Stock, and Super Stock is complete.

Second qualifying sessions for Top Fuel and Thunderbolts will begin at 10:00 a.m. Qualifying for Pro Stock, Funny Car, Pro Modified, and Nitro Harley competitors is complete.

Eliminations for Top Dragster, Top Sportsman, Pro Stock, Funny Car, and Pro Modified will begin at 11:00 a.m., with eliminations for the remaining Sportsman categories beginning after Pro Modified.

Remaining Professional eliminations rounds will be at 12:30, 2:30, and 4:30 p.m. and will include the "Bumper-To-Bumper Night of Fire" exhibitions. Sportsman eliminations will be scheduled around those times.
