2005 Mr.Gasket Pro-Am Tour Division 4 Schedule Announced
The IHRA competition department has released the 2005 Mr. Gasket Pro-Am Tour schedule for the division 4 Renegades
The 6 race series will welcome Pine Valley Raceway to the line up of host tracks for 2005. Also new for '05 will be San Antonio Raceway hosting the season opener for the Mr. Gasket Pro-Am tour, with a second event contested in August. San Antonio Raceway will also host the opening event in the 12 race Hooters Drag Racing national event series at the end of March.
Highlighting the schedule are three races held during long holiday weekends, aimed at giving racers that live further away the ability to travel without missing work. Lone Star hosts two of the holiday weekend events (Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend) with the 4th of July weekend scheduled for Tulsa Raceway Park.
"We have some special announcements coming soon for the sportsman racers in Division 4" said Skooter Peaco, Director of Racing Operations. "We realize that Division 4 racers fight a unique set of circumstances trying to compete at both Mr. Gasket Pro-Am events and Hooters national events because of the travel requirements. We have come up with a unique solution that sportsman racers should love. We will be announcing the details of that program very soon, but I can say that this program will give sportsman racers in division 4 the "Best of Both Worlds."
