NATIONAL TRAIL RACEWAY HOST AMA/PROSTAR DRAG RACING SERIES HEBRON, Ohio - The AMA/Prostar Motorcycle Drag Racing Series comes to National Trail Raceway on May 2-3, for the second of eight national event races in 1998.

More than 500 riders in fifteen categories -- Funnybike, Pro Modified, Pro Stock, 750 Superbike, 600 Super Sport, Top Gas, Super Comp, Super Gas, four streetbike shootout categories and three bracket classes - will compete for cash and contingency awards in excess of $160,000. Defending champions include Gary Clark, Des Moines, Iowa, in Funnybike, Tom Perry, Clearwater, Florida, in Pro Modified and Paul Gast, Grand Island, NY, in Pro Stock.

Qualifying and time trials are from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on May 2, and final elimination's and opening ceremonies begin at 10:00 a.m. on May 3. National Trail Raceway is located of Interstate 70, exit Granville Road (route 37) and go north to U.S. 40 (National Road) and turn left. Proceed one mile, the track will be on the right.
