Wonderful debut for Biagi on Lola
Misano, March 25th, 2009 - Team Racing Box halted its tests on Misano Adriatico's racing circuit yesterday. The stop came prematurely because of the rain. This session was set in preparation for the Les Mans Series's opening act, which will be held on April, 5th, in Barcelona.
During the test, Thomas Biagi drove his car for 31 laps (131 kilometres) in 1'29''04. Team Racing Box hailed his performance with optimism and satisfaction. This was his debut on a covered wheels car in the frame of FIA GT policies. "The first contact I had with Lola B08/80 LMP2 was very positive and I am happy with it - Biagi said - I felt like I was on a F3000, with a lot of aerodynamic charge and speed. The brakes in carbon are very efficient and the car has a good balance and is reliable. I was glad to work with the crew of Racing Box and I'd like to express my gratitude to everybody, especially to Mr Andrea Adamo for his warm welcome and his professionalism. I wish we will be working together in the near future".
In the morning, Matteo Bobbi tested the car after Biagi, but he was forced to quit due to the bad weather conditions.
