For the final time this season, Lucky Strike B.A.R Honda have been back at their designated track for a rigorous three day test at the Silverstone circuit.

A busy three days has seen Olivier Panis dividing his time between two cars in order to compare some design features for next year. He was joined briefly this afternoon by fellow team mate Jacques Villeneuve who took to the track for the afternoon only in order to provide the team with his own feedback on the car.

At the end of the day Olivier's fastest lap time was a 01.24.051, the fastest being Wurz with a 01.22.386. Jacques Villeneuve postest a quickest time of 01.26.020 at the end of this afternoon's session.

Despite the changeable weather and wet track conditions, it's been a productive penultimate test for the team. As Chief Engineer, Steve Farrell explains:

"This was essentially a test focusing on some features for the 2002 car. That's why we have primarily concentrated on Olivier comparing two cars. Despite the weather it's been an informative test, which has helped us to understand the car better in readiness for next year. Over the past three days there has also been a shorter term programme in preparation for both Indianapolis and Suzuka, and we're hoping that is going to give us an edge in the remaining two races."

Lucky Strike B.A.R Honda have one final test prior to the end of the season. Meanwhile, the race team are heading to Indianapolis and then straight on to Japan for the remaining Grands Prix of the year.
