The Arrows Team finished todays Practice for the Japanese Grand Prix with its drivers Pedro de la Rosa in 14th and Toranosuke Takagi in 18th position. Sporting a new-look helmet at his home race, Tora did not experience any major problems with his car. Pedro finally found himself on a track, which was familiar to him and where he had scored victories in the past racing in Formula 3000.
Pedro de la Rosa: " I am very happy with my result and we were finally able to show that we are capable of producing good results. When I went out after my installation lap this morning I felt like I was at home and it felt very good. I realise that Fridays results are not of great importance, nevertheless I am pleased for the team who made a good effort in setting up the car. I still believe that I can be faster during tomorrows qualifying."
Toranosuke Takagi: "I had some oversteer problems and as at the last Grand Prix, the track was very slippery. However, we had no reliability problems and I feel very confident about tomorrows qualifying."
Tom Walkinshaw: "I am very pleased with our drivers performances and I am sure will do our best to be competitive during tomorrows qualifying."
Chassis Numbers: Car 15: Takagi 02 Car 14: de la Rosa 04 Spare: 05, set up for Takagi.
