Reminder of qualifying times

Following the opening two races of the FIA Formula One World Championship in Australia and Malaysia, the FIA World Motor Sport Council has decided to change the timings for tomorrow's Qualifying session for the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix.

The schedule changes will make a difference to the running timetable for Saturday's activities at the Bahrain International Circuit and spectators attending the track tomorrow should be aware of the changes and the effect they will have on tomorrow's Qualifying session.

Pre-Qualifying (i.e. the session that determines the order in which the cars will run in Qualifying for the grid) will now have a scheduled start time one hour earlier at 13:00 hours Bahrain time.

Qualifying for the grid (i.e. the session that determines the order in which the cars will start the race) will now have a scheduled start time of 14:00 hours Bahrain time.

Following the excitement of today's opening practice sessions, a large crowd is expected for tomorrow's show. During the first day of running on the new Bahrain International Circuit, Ferrari driver Rubens Barrichello was fastest with a best lap of 1 min 31.450 secs.
