Jarno Trulli today completed his second, and final, day of running with the R24 this week. He completed a further 320 km, including a number of long runs, although he also experienced a technical problem which stopped the car out on the circuit. Running today concentrated on accumulating mileage and working on basic set-ups.

Fernando Alonso completed his testing in the old R23, continuing the electronics development programme for the R24. However, his work was hampered by an engine failure late in the morning.

Pat Symonds, Executive Director of Engineering:

"It was another encouraging day for the team. Jarno's running was interrupted with a technical problem, but we nevertheless clocked up a further 320km, including some longer runs. The indications remain very good, and the car is running well with a high fuel load, displaying good consistency."

Tomorrow, Fernando Alonso will run in the R24 for the first time, while Franck Montagny will take over work on the R23.
