At the sunny circuit of Paul Ricard, Robert Doornbos enjoyed a successful test with Jordan Grand Prix on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning. The 23-year old Dutchman drove 80 laps in total over the two days at the Mediteranean circuit in which he tested many improvements on the EJ15 with a view to the upcoming German and Hungarian Grand Prix.

After Doornbos took over the steering wheel of Narain Karthikeyan on Thursday afternoon, the 2004 F3000 graduate tested some adjustments to the Toyota engine settings as well as the improved suspension at the short variant of the High Tech Test Track.

On Friday morning, Doornbos succesfully tried out several weight transfers in the car which now allows him to drive somewhat more agressively while braking into the corners. Next to this, the Italian based Dutchman also tested some different Traction Control settings.

In order to support the development programme of Bridgestone, Doornbos mainly drove longruns together with Michael Schumacher and Marc Gene. On Friday both Jordan Grand Prix and Ferrari used the longest possible variant of the Paul Ricard track. After Doornbos completed his programme around 12:00 hours, Tiago Monteiro took over the steering wheel from Doornbos again to finish Jordan Grand Prix testsession this week.

Robert Doornbos:

"I am happy with the work we have done here today and yesterday. I made some good mileage over these two days in which we could successfully try out some new parts and ideas. I've enjoyed the circuit a lot as it offers so many different variants. I hope that the team, Toyota and Bridgestone can translate yesterday's and today's information in any further improvements for the upcoming Grand Prix!"
