"The track conditions are not fantastic," Monteiro said. "The track was damp first thing and it made it difficult to evaluate the different tyre options. The conditions were tricky and the car was quite difficult to drive."

In the afternoon MF1 Racing experienced disappointing technical problems that prevented Monteiro from improving on his morning practice times.

"It hasn't been an easy weekend," Monteiro added. "I'm quite disappointed because I thought we had solved the tyre issued from yesterday and we were looking forward to a breakthrough today. I'm looking for a good start to the race tomorrow."

"The race is long and the team has done a good job all weekend but as we know all to well, anything can happen. I hope that we'll have a good race and no problems so I can bring the car home in a good position."
