Shimoda joins Victory
After participating in Eurocup Formula Renault V6, Hayanari Shimoda went
on to distinguish himself in Endurance racing and A1 GP. The Japanese
driver has joined forces with Victory Engineering where he will line up
alongside Alvaro Parente, the British Formula 3 Champion. Team boss
Giorgio Piccolo should be able to count on this impressive duo to bring
home the goods!
Salignon recruited by Interwetten
After quietly biding his time throughout the transfer season, Eric
Salignon has finally been awarded a drive with Interwetten. This is a
good recruitment move for the Austrian team, which will have to choose
between Andy Soucek and Carlos Iaconelli to drive its second car.
Full house at Eurointernational
Antonio Ferrari's team has finally revealed its two drivers for the
season. The Thai driver Tor Graves, who cut his teeth in British Formula
Renault, F3 and F3000, will team up with the German driver Pascal Kochem.
After finishing fourth in Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 in 2004, Kochem
took part in the German F3 Championship last year.
Flashback to Misano
After a rainy first day, the Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0 competitors
participating in collective testing at Misano were treated to better
weather conditions on Friday. The best time went to the South African
Adrian Zaugg (Cram Competition) ahead of Carlo Van Dam (SG Formula) and
Edoardo Piscopo (Cram Competition).
