Draco Racing Valencia test summary

After the disasters caused by wind, a long day of collective tests in Valencia

A beautiful sunny day welcomed yesterday, the Teams of World Series in the circuit of Valencia, after the bad experience of wednesday, when, after only one hour of collective test on track, the strong wind has literally uprooted the structure positioned on the terrace above the circuit, and it is fallen in the area behind the box, just above the Team's trucks. The structure of glass and tents was used for the Moto GP 2007 but it did not resist to the strong wind blowing on Valencia and it fell causing moments of real terror.

Fortunately, the tragedy was only touched lightly, because at that time nobody was in that area and there was only a few not serious wounded. Some trucks were seriously damaged and the new Draco's truck had some damage to the roof, but fortunately only slightly. The team had to suspend immediately the test and to move in the last box, away from the disaster zone. In the limited time available it was the belgian driver of Team Draco Bertrand Baguette who set the best time right at the start of the session, with a lap timed at 1:25:569.

Only yesterday the test could begin again, fortunately under the sun, on a cold but not windy day. To make up for lost time, the drivers were alternated on track and the test have continued without pause from 9am to 6pm. Team Draco deployed on track Bertrand Baguette until 12.00 and he is made the second time in his session, then the team prepared the car for the Spanish Marco Barba, who has made very good time on track. The two drivers came out several times to test the car with the various arrangements developed by the engineers and mechanics.

The new Dallara does not have any mechanical problem, although it has to be tested and aligned to the needs of drivers.
