Formula 3 Italia Misano Race Report

The Italian Formula 3 Championship weekend ended in a positive way for Salvatore Cicatelli at Misano. The 19-year-old , at his debut with Piercarlo Ghinzani's Arco Motorsport, ended up on Race 2's podium after putting together an impressive all-around performance. After taking 4th and 2nd place at the end of the two practice sessions, he cruised to a spot on Row 3 in qualifying.

On Race 1, Salvatore faced a tough time after an off-track excursion to avoid the colliding cars of Liberati and Campos. He ended up in 7th, setting the stage for a great recovery on Race 2, when he climbed up to third place and to a well- deserved podium spot.

"The weekend didn't start in a perfect way, we could have done better in Qualifying, but we definitely did improve. It's a bit of a pity for Race 1, where I could have climbed up to podium, but I lost ground in an attempt to avoid two other cars that made contact. On Race 2 everything went on fine, I'm happy for the podium finish, but we'll now be focusing for the next round at Varano..."
