13th row for Erik Janis at F3 Masters

Erik Janis will start RTL F3 Masters at Zolder from 13th row. He finished 26th after two qualifying sessions which saw no lass than 37 drivers on the track. The Mucke Motorsport driver started well in the first sessions and for long time was around fifth place. He lost a top 10 spot, guaranteeing entry to A group, only at the very end. The Mercedes Benz junior driver is in the middle of his rookie F3 season. Rain is forecasted for tomorrow and twenty years old Erik hopes that it will bring him a bit of luck.

Erik Janis: "It was okay for quite a long time in the first qualifying. I was fourth or fifth. However, few competitors got ahead just before the end and I finished 12th just two places behind the 10 ten which means advance to the better group for the second session. It was close but unfortunately it ended this way. We started the second session on used tyres and the car was great. We put on new tyres later on and the car suddenly oversteered. The forecast says that it would rain tomorrow, so we will see what we can do n the race."

Peter Mucke: "Erik did not manage to get to the first group but for me is important the fact that we improved a bit comparing to the past qualifying sessions. He has a good speed just needs a small step to keep his position till the very end. I believe that it will come soon."
