BAD WEEKEND FOR DAMS
For the first time of the season the DAMS GP2 & World Series teams were racing at the same time in 2 different places. The team was hoping that following the good weekend in Magny-Cours, Silverstone and Le Mans would bring satisfaction and good results.
At Silverstone in GP2 Lopez and Fauzy had several problems: during pit stop for Lopez in race 1 or engine failure on race 2 for both drivers. As a team DAMS is not involved in the engine maintenance and the Engine supplier is investigating in order to find the reason of such failures.
In Le Mans the DAMS World Series team finished the weekend without points. Danielsson retired in race and finished 14th in race from 22nd on the grid, Giamarria has improved his performance after Valencia but did not finish in the top 10 and was pushed out of the track by another car in race 2.
