The ART Grand Prix cars of Nico Rosberg and Alexandre Prémat will start from 23rd and 24th on the grid for tomorrow's race after the team's qualifying times were taken away.
Following today's qualifying session, the Stewards of the meeting received a report from the Technical Delegate which stated that car 9, Nico Rosberg and car 10, Alexandre Prémat had a suspension irregularity (steering rack position).
The Stewards, after hearing the explanation of the Competitors representative, referred to Article 10.1 of the 2005 GP2 Series Technical Regulations which is specific regarding the compliance of automobiles with the regulations.
It is the Stewards' view that the car did not comply with the regulations, and by virtue of that the Stewards' decision is deletion of all qualifying times for car 9, Nico Rosberg and car 10, Alexandre Prémat.
The ART Grand Prix cars will therefore start from the back of the grid, in championship order, with Nico 23rd and Alexandre 24th.
Neel Jani (Racing Engineering) will start tomorrow's race from pole position, alongside Heikki Kovalainen (Arden International).
