Additional Dates For 2000 Trans-Am Series Announced

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- SCCA Pro Racing has announced additional dates for the 2000 BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series, with a new season-opener to-be-announced, and up to two other additional venues still to-be-determined. The revised calendar now includes three of the previously released American Le Mans Series dates, one new ALMS venue, five CART FedEx Championship Series events and two BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series-feature weekends. The Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach, April 14-16, is the first of the CART FedEx Championship Series dates, with the other CART venues including Detroit, Cleveland, Road America and Houston. The BFGoodrich Tires Trans-Am Series will headline the May 19-21 weekend at Mosport International Raceway, and wrap up its 35th season as the weekend's feature race, November 17-19, in Aruba.
