Independents Trophy prize money fixed at 260,000 Euro.
10,000 Euro awarded to the winners of each 2003 race meeting.
FIA European Touring Car Championship promoter KSO has finalised the details of the new Independents Trophy, to be organised within the 2003 FIA European Touring Car Championship.
PRIZE MONEY
The total prize money has been fixed at 260,000 euro, to be awarded
according the following scale:
1. Race-by-race prize money
At each race meeting, a total of 26,000 euro will be awarded to the
top four Independent drivers, classified by adding together the points
obtained in the two races.
E 10,000 to the first driver in this classification
E 8,000 to the second driver
E 5,000 to the third driver
E 3,000 to the fourth driver
POINT SCORING SYSTEM
Drivers taking part in the Independents Trophy will score points in each of
the Championship twenty rounds, according to the following scale:
Position - Points 1st - 10 2nd - 8 3rd - 6 4th - 5 5th - 4 6th - 3 7th - 2 8th - 1
ELIGIBILITY FOR THE TROPHY
Eligibility for the Independents Trophy will be exclusively decided by KSO,
taking into consideration the following criteria:
1. Team's CV and records
2. Driver's CV and records
23. Car's technical characteristics
