Reigning Champion Paul Poon qualifies on pole for round 1

Reigning Champion Paul Poon recorded a fast 1 min 50.614 and will be on pole for round 1 in the HTCC.

The time set by China Dragon Racing driver Paul Poon in his Honda Civic EP3 is the fastest of its class ever at the Zhuhai circuit, averaging a startling 139.94 kph.

Second was Cheong's Speed driver Kenneth Look, his time was only 0.595 second slower. Another China Dragon Racing driver Samson Fung was third. The difference among the 3 drivers was less than a second, a fierce fight is expected for tomorrow.

Second qualifying, the first and the second races will be held tomorrow (April 17) at the Zhuhai circuit.
