FAYETTEVILLE, GA - USAR President Gene Cox has released the 2000 Hooters Pro Cup Series race schedule and also the new purse and point fund that will be distributed in 2000.
The schedule will feature 20 events in six southeastern states highlighted by season-opening and season-ending events at USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Florida. The Lakeland facility will once again host four events in 2000 while Hickory Motor Speedway, Florida Speed Park, Montgomery Motor Speedway, and Peach State Speedway will each host two events on the 2000 schedule. The Hooters Pro Cup Series will make its first visits to both Montgomery Motor Speedway and Ace Speedway.
The Four Champion Challenge Series events, held each year to honor the memory of 1992 NASCAR Winston Cup champion Alan Kulwicki, Mark Brooks, Charlie Campbell and Dan Duncan, will be held at Myrtle Beach Speedway, Montgomery Motorsports Park, Greenville-Pickens, and USA International Speedway.
“We are very excited about our 2000 schedule,” said Cox. “We have a schedule that will enable our series to continue to grow and highlight our drivers and sponsors to new areas and race fans.”
The season will begin on February 26, 2000 and conclude November 25, 2000.
