SCC: Broadcast dates for Grand-Am Cup announced

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (July 9, 2003) -- SPEED Channel, the exclusive broadcaster of the Grand-Am Cup Series in North America, announced its broadcast schedule for the remainder of the 2003 season. SPEED Channel has already aired eight exciting Grand-Am Cup races this season and has five more broadcasts on tap for the remainder of the 2003 season.

The remaining 2003 Grand-Am Cup broadcast schedule on SPEED Channel is as follows - Saturday, July 19 1 p.m. ET
Mid-Ohio Grand Sport 200 from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

Saturday, July 19 2 p.m. ET
Mid-Ohio Sport Touring 200 from Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

Saturday, Sept. 27 1 p.m. ET
Mont-Tremblant 250 from Le Circuit Mont-Tremblant

Saturday, Oct. 11 1 p.m. ET
3 Hours of VIR from Virginia International Raceway

Saturday, Nov. 8 1 p.m. ET
Daytona Finale from Daytona International Speedway

All of the remaining Grand-Am Cup race broadcasts will be one hour in length, except for the final two rounds of the season from Virginia International Raceway and Daytona International Speedway. SPEED Channel will feature special two-hour broadcasts of the 3 Hours of VIR and Daytona Finale as the racing and the points championships are expected to heat up in the final stretch of the season.
