Silverstone: Edil Cris preview

DOUBLE APPOINTMENT WITH EDIL CRIS RACING TEAM THIS WEEKEND

03/05/2007 - Double appointment on track with Racing Team Edil Cris that this weekend will be involved on the first european round of the FIA GT at Silverstone and on the second round of the Italian GT at Misano Adriatico.

The English race will be the 2007 debut of the team led by Giancristiano Cavalleri, after the decision not to take part to the Chinese round of Zhuhai. For this reason both cars will have 20kg ballast on board. The Cressoni-Rugolo crew will have 28 additional kilograms assigned to professional crews.

Raffaele Giammaria will not be at Silverstone, due to a conflicting committment. The French driver Damien Pasini will therefore get on track with Paolo Ruberti.

Lorenzo Bontempelli will share the cockpit with Francesco La Mazza at Misano, in the Italian GT, while Mugelli-Linossi will be called to repeat the victory obtained at Adria.

"A very busy weekend is on the way. We are finally starting our FIA GT adventure, where we hope to be protagonists. We will be a bit penalized by ballasts but I think this will not prevent us to be competitive. In the Italian GT, the pretty new track of Misano will be unknown for everyone after the recent renewal. The key point will be to find quickly the right setup following drivers directions".
