Brian Till's position at STRANA changes

Former IndyCar driver is increasing SPEED responsibilities - will continue as Executive Director of Super Truck racing.

NEW ALBANY, OH (March 23, 2004) Brian Till is stepping aside as the president of the Super Truck Racing Association of North America (STRANA), but will continue in his role as executive director and consultant to the Series. The former IndyCar driver and Toyota Atlantic champion will release his day-to-day business management responsibilities as president of the association, but will continue to be involved with the development of the Super Truck racing series. Till, who is also an on-air personality for SPEED Channel, is stepping aside due to an increase in his responsibilities with the all-motor sport television network.

"I am very proud of everything we have accomplished in getting Super Truck racing established in North America," said Till. "And, while I'm excited about the opportunity with SPEED, I plan to stay involved with the development of Super Truck racing and seeing the STRANA vision through to fruition."

A replacement for Till has not yet been announced. According to Craig Lerner, one of the creators of the Super Truck series, the STRANA board of directors will discuss filling the president position at a future meeting.

"Brian was instrumental to the development of STRANA," said Lerner. "While he won't be active in the day-to-day management of the association, we will still have Brian's passion for Super Truck racing helping to move the STRANA mission forward."

Based in suburban Columbus, Ohio, STRANA is the governing body for class-8 super truck racing in North America. Its mission is to promote super truck racing and the trucking and transportation industry.
