Phoenix: Anthony Lazzaro will start 13th in tomorrow's Bombardier ATV Copper World Indy 200 from the Phoenix International Raceway after turning his best lap of the weekend in his #99 Sam Schmidt Motorsports Dallara/Chevrolet/Firestone entry. Lazzaro's lap of 20.64 seconds or 174.338 MPH earned him the inside of row seven starting position.
"The car felt really good," said Lazzaro. "This one is for the team. We got a little behind yesterday after trying some new stuff that didn't work out for us. My engineer Tim Neff and the entire team did a great job getting the car ready overnight. The car should be good for the race, but we need the session in the morning to work on it."
The final thirty minute practice session is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 11:45 EST. The Bombardier ATV Copper World Indy 200 can be seen at 4 p.m. EST tomorrow Sunday March 17th on ABC television.
