POWER QUALIFIES EIGHTH IN TEXAS
Will Power has turned in yet another top 10 qualifying performance by qualifying eighth for the Bombardier Learjet 550 at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, Texas today.
Power will start tomorrow's race from the outside of the fourth row in the #8 Aussie Vineyards -- Team Australia car in his debut event at the ultra-fast 1.5-mile oval.
The Australian driver has been concentrating hard on race set-ups in practice to ensure he scores a solid finish as he seeks to jump back into the top 10 in the 2008 IndyCar Series standings. Power was 15th fastest in final practice earlier today.
The 27-year-old from Toowoomba in Queensland, Australia sees the Bombardier Learjet 550 as his toughest challenge this season but has taken a liking to the fast venue as he continues to learn and adapt to oval racing.
Scott Dixon won the PEAK Motor Oil Pole today at Texas Motor Speedway ahead of Helio Castroneves and Ryan Briscoe.
